Is this water safe to walk in?

When any part of your home has a flood remember to think safety.  Some people are unaware of the dangers that flood water could potentially contain. They never associate a flood with the possibility of having an electrical hazard and how severe a risk it might be.

Water can seep into electronic devices, wiring in the walls or the live end of something you may have plugged in making the water to become electrified.  Water is a conductor and being aware of this may keep you safe or even save your life.

It is extremely important before you enter the flooded area, no matter how deep, that you or a professional shut off the electricity until you are sure it safe to turn it back on.

Please call SERVPRO of Beachwood/Shaker Heights/Cleveland Heights at 216-464-4498 if you experience a flood and are unsure of the next steps to take! We will guide you through the process safely!
